Hello Riptides Families,

The Ebbtides, Nanaimo's Masters (adult) swim club, are hosting a Masters swim meet Saturday, November 26 at the NAC. They are in need of volunteers for Stroke and Turn, and Timekeeping. The meet is sanctioned, but no experience/courses are required to officiate. This is a great opportunity for you to get some on deck experience in these positions. Senior Riptides swimmers are also able to officiate, and the time can be applied towards their high school volunteer hours. In addition, any Riptide who volunteers, parent or swimmer, will be given points towards their volunteer commitment. It has been tradition that Ebbtides provide officials at our meets, and that we provide officials at their meets.
Finally, if you come out, you can cheer on 98 year old World Record Holder Betty Brussels as she continues to compete in the fantastic sport of swimming!
