Join the Riptides Summer Swimming Sessions
For new and returning swimmers interested in the Olympic Way and Swim Skill program.
🔹 Program Overview
Our summer classes are divided into 4 levels, based on swimmer ability.
For Summer Sessions ONLY, the age limit for Level 3 has been raised to 10 years to give swimmers a chance to develop and advance their skills.
All Level 4 registrations must email admin@nanaimoriptides.com for registration. This level is for current swimmers in Swim Skills 1 and Blue and new swimmers that have completed Swimmer 6 and up with the City lessons.
Level Breakdown (Based on Parks & Rec Swim Kids Levels):
Level 1 = Swimmer Levels 1 & 2
Level 2 = Swimmer Levels 3 & 4
Level 3 = Swimmer Levels 5 & 6
Level 4 - Swimmer Levels 7 & up
Location & Dates
All summer sessions will be held at the NAC during the following weeks:
June 29 - July 3rd (4-day session, prorated)
July 6 - 10
July 13 - 17
Classes run Monday to Friday,
Schedule & Pricing
Level 1 & Level 2
45-minute classes
$90 per week
WEEK 1 - 4 time slots available between 9:30am - 12:45pm
WEEKS 2 & 3 - 2 time slots available between 9:30am - 11am & 2 time slots available between 5:30pm - 7:30pm
⚠️ Important Note for Level 1:
Swimmers must be:
Comfortable entering the water
Able to fully immerse their head
Capable of working in a group and following instructions
We are unable to accommodate swimmers who require one-on-one attention.
Level 3 & 4
60-minute classes
$100 per week
WEEK 1 - 4 time slots available between 9:30am - 1pm & 2 time slots available between 5:30pm - 7:30pm
WEEKS 2 & 3 - 2 time slots available between 9:30am - 11am & 2 time slots available between 5:30pm - 7:30pm
📌 Planning to register for multiple sessions?
Please register for the same level each week. Swimmers may repeat levels 2–3 times, and we will adjust their placement based on assessments. We’ve built in space for level advancement if needed.
